Partnership with Cricket Builds Hope: Progress Report on Re-Integration Program for Non-Schooling Children.

Date: 30-October, 2024

Dear Supporters, Partners, and Friends,

We are excited to share the latest updates on the collaborative efforts of Shine Again Initiative and Cricket Builds Hope in our Re-Integration Program for non-schooling children. Our commitment to providing opportunities for education and support for children in need has yielded significant progress.

Program Overview
The Re-Integration Program aims to help 123 children who have been out of school, providing them with essential resources to facilitate their return to education. Our goal is not only to reintegrate these children into the educational system but also to ensure they have the necessary tools for success.

Recent Activities
In the past few months, we have implemented several key activities:

Distribution of School Materials:

We successfully provided uniforms, shoes, notebooks, pens, and bags to all 123 children. This support has greatly boosted their confidence and enthusiasm for returning to school.

School Feeding Fees:

We have covered school feeding fees, ensuring that the children receive nutritious meals during school hours. This initiative helps improve their concentration and overall well-being.

Engagement and Training Workshops:

We organized workshops for both children and parents, focusing on the importance of education, hygiene, and healthy living. These sessions fostered a sense of community and empowered families to support their children’s education.

Role of Ambassador Teachers:

Our dedicated Ambassador Teachers have been instrumental in supporting the children at school. They facilitate connections between the children, schools, and parents, ensuring that everyone is engaged in the educational process. Every Sunday, these teachers provide remedial assistance to help children catch up on their studies. They also advocate for the children by addressing any concerns related to their situations at school, ensuring that their voices are heard.

Positive Impact
The impact of our program extends beyond the individual children to their families and the community as a whole:

Educational Improvement: Children are showing significant academic progress and increased attendance rates, thanks to the support from Ambassador Teachers and the resources provided.
Family Engagement: Parents are becoming more involved in their children’s education, fostering a stronger support system at home.
Community Awareness: The program has raised awareness in the community about the importance of education, leading to greater support for local schools and initiatives aimed at helping vulnerable children.

Success Stories
Our program has already seen heartwarming success stories:

Ishimwe Kelly 9 years old, who had been out of school for two years, is now attending classes regularly and has made friends with other students. Their teachers report significant improvement in their academic performance.
Muvunyi Jean De Dieu,11 years old, expressed excitement about wearing their new uniform, stating, “I feel proud to go to school now!”
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for these children. Our next steps include:

Continued monitoring and support for the reintegrated children.
Expanding our outreach to include more children in need of assistance.
Building partnerships with local schools to ensure sustainable support for these children.
Thank You!

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cricket Builds Hope and all our supporters for making this program possible. Together, we are creating lasting change in the lives of these children.
