Justin Mugabo

Founder & CEO – Shine Again Initiative

With over 10 years of experience in education since 2016, Justin has worked as an educator, mentor, programme facilitator, and community development practitioner. His professional journey has focused on creating practical opportunities for children and young people to access education, develop confidence, and build positive futures.

Since joining Cricket Builds Hope in 2022, Justin has played an active role in programs supporting vulnerable and street-connected children through cricket, English education, life skills, mentorship, and school reintegration. He has also contributed to family and community empowerment initiatives, working alongside teachers, coaches, parents, and community partners.

Drawing on this experience, He founded Shine Again Initiative in 2023 to expand and strengthen community-based solutions for children and families. Through programmes such as Kura Neza, the initiative combines education, sport, mentorship, and family engagement to help children return to school, remain engaged in learning, and unlock their potential.

He is passionate about education, child development, sport for social change, and community empowerment, and is committed to building partnerships that create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable children and young people in Rwanda.

His vision is to create a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, participate, and shine again.
