Shine Again Initiative works through a holistic three-level approach:
1. Child Level: Education, protection, confidence building,
2. Family Level: Economic empowerment and parenting capacity,
3. Community Level: Awareness, engagement, and child protection.
Programmes:
This project is an integrated intervention implemented through three complementary programmes:
1. KURA NEZA PROGRAMME means Grow Well in English(Education
Exposure)
Key Services:
1. Re-integrating street-connected and school dropout children into schools,
2. Educational support (materials, follow-up, mentorship),
3. Study trips and experiential learning,
4. Career guidance and academic motivation.
2. AGUKA PROGRAMME means Grow in English (Family Empowerment and
Sustainability):
Focuses on strengthening families as the foundation of child well-being.
Key Services:
a) Economic empowerment (income-generating activities),
b) Parenting education, provision of different training for capacity building and family
counseling,
c) Homevisits and case management,
d) Identifying and supporting families in danger.
3. INKURU Y’UBUSHUTI PROGRAMME means A story of friendship in English (Psycho-social and Social Development)
Uses sport and creative activities as tools for healing, bonding, and growth.

2. Creative activities (arts, storytelling, music, drama),
3. Tracking psycho-social challenges among children,
4. Confidence building and emotional support,
5. Strengthening relationships between children, families, and peers,
6. Promoting positive social interaction and community integration
